1st Impressions Invitations is a custom, service based company that specializes in hand-crafted, unique designs, from the simple to the way-out-of-the-box, and everything inbetween!

Meet Owner and Designer, Cathy Colbert: When I was getting married a few years back, I went in search of invitations that were as unique, different, and representative of the relationship my husband and I have. I was completely over-whelmed by the mountains of invitation binders and disappointed by the samples and lack of personal attention I received from the on-line companies. The whole time I thought, "I wish there was someone I could tell my idea to, have them take me by the hand, and help me create it, without having to go through all of this." That thought culimated in my decision to create my own invitations, save-the-dates, ceremony programs, and party favors. The response was tremendous and eventually culminated in the creation of 1st Impressions Invitations!

I am passionate about every project I take on, from the design and creation, to the personal connection I create with each client. I try to really understand my client's needs and background. My goal is to create my client's ideal stationary: a one-of-a-kind, won't-find-it-elsewhere invitation or announcement, while taking care of all my clients' needs. Each project is a blank canvas, an opportunity to create something completely new. I enjoy the challenge of stepping out of the box, creating something beautiful, fun, funky, different: whatever the client's heart desires. I am dedicated to my clients, integrity in business, and quality of work and aim to make the entire experience personal, engaging, and fun!
