We booked Darlene about 2 weeks prior to our wedding and since we are from out of town we weren't able to taste the cake ahead of time. We ordered the french vanilla cake with buttercreme icing and fresh strawberry and whipped cream filling. The cake was very moist and tasty. She decorated with the pattern and flowers that I requested. I would have liked larger strawberry pieces in the filling but the flavor was still good. I was worried that 2 tiers would not be enough for 30 people, but it was plenty. We had the whole top to eat the next day. I would have liked more of a formal contract rather than talking on the phone and a couple of emails. In the end the contract didn't matter because she delivered what we wanted.

Darlene, owner of Cakes On The Move, was a delight to work with. Darlene made a beautiful moist yummy wedding cake for my daughter's wedding in Las Vegas. The cake was beautiful to look at, and was very tasty. Darlene had the cake delivered to our restaurant, free of charge. Darlene was very flexible to work with. We completely changed the design of the cake, added ribbon to the cake, and requested a particular color of ribbon. Darlene met all of our cake needs. The bride needeed a gluten-free cake, so Darlene made a separate 5" gluten-free cake for the bride, and the other 2 tiers were different flavors to offer a variety to the wedding guests. Cakes on the Move provided our wedding cake as well as hand decorated chocolates. The cake was fair - tasted as though it had been frozen but that was the least of our problems with this vendor. The decorated chocolates looked as though they were decorated by third graders and our wedding date (February 23, 2012) was misspelled as "Febuary 23, 2012." This was the joke of the entire reception. Our guests said the chocolate tasted ok but was missing something, like maybe an "r." When we contacted the owner after to report her mistake, she thanked us for letting her know about it. That was it! One would think that a business owner with this type of spotless reputation would go a little further to rectify the error. Word to the wise - do not have any words displayed on your cake or handmade chocolates!

We live in San Antonio Texas and found Cakes on the Move via the internet. The outstanding reviews got our attention. We found our cake on line, they offered butter cream icing that had the appearance of fondant, we don't like fondant, but do like the smooth look. We call Cakes on the Move, the owner Darlene was fabulous, we picked out the cake, provided her with our colors that we wanted and flavors, she costumized the cake for a smaller wedding. The cake was awesome, moist and just as it appeared in the photographs on line, the detail design and art work that was put into it, may our day so special, the Cake was delishous, the filling was outstanding. I got married in Vegas this weekend. 2/18/2012. I was frantically looking online for a bakery that would be able to make a cake, deliver it and stay within budget in a week. I came across Darlene at Cakes on the Move. I made a simple call to Darlene gave her my wedding colors and told her when and where and she was able to put my thoughts into a beautiful cake. I do not live in Vegas and it was so nice to be able to work with someone remotely that was nice and that genuinely cared about the presentation for my wedding. Being the worrier that I am I called her about 3 times before the wedding just to make sure that everything was still going as planned and she was always available to reassure me. She personally delivered my cake 3 hours before the dinner and it was beyond my expectations. I am so grateful to Darlene and Cakes on the move for making it as stressless as possible and the most beautiful and delicious cake I could have asked for. All of my guests were so impressed. You would have thought that I had been planning it for months. It was ordered on a Monday and Delivered on Saturday. Thank you Darlene and Cakes on the move. April & Eric :)

Since we lived in NC, I had to do everything via email/phone and Darlene couldn't have been nicer to deal with. The cake and flowers were beautiful and better yet, it was delicious. I would highly recommend her.

Darlene made my Halloween Wedding Cake dream come true. She delivered and set up this masterpiece for us. We even picked out our cake topper and shipped it to her and she added details to them to make them part of the theme. I am in NC and I emailed her a picture of an idea we liked and she took it and made it even better. Not to mention the cake tasted delicious! She also made a house completely out of chocolate to go with our topper. She is amazing and super sweet! I hope to have a chance to use her again.

Darlene from Cakes on the Move was SO easy to work with. She made me feel confident that I didn't have to worry about anything when it came to dessert. The cake was absolutely delicious (and a great value too). Definitely recommend this business.

Darlene at Cakes on the Move was so sweet, always available, and easy to work with. She really listened to what I wanted and delivered on it perfectly! Our cake looked and tasted AMAZING! We, and our guests, were more than pleased. (Try the lemon cake with lemon frosting/filling!)

I needed a cake at the last minute because my original one fell through. I called Darlene and she was wonderful. We spoke of my budget and I gave her free reign of what to make for us. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised to see our cake. It was beautiful. We could not have asked for a more perfect cake. AND it was so deliscious. I am not from vegas but if I go there and ever need a cake again she will be the only person I call. Thank you for making our day even more wonderful with this cake!!

Our wedding cake from Cakes on the move was absolutely delicious and nicely decorated. Darlene seems to be a very nice lady and she helped us with making the right choice of flavour, size and cake decoration. We also appreciated that the cake was delivered to our restaurant and served at the reception without us worrying about anything. Im happy to recommend Cakes on the move. Great job Darlene!

I am a newlywed from MD and took my chances wih trust/belief on Darlene fom cakes on the move. Met her face to face on cake delivery day. My husband and I were very pleased wih the results. Our cake was beautiful. The taste was delicious. Darlene's energy and professionalism was fantastic. Everyone on my wedding party bus enjoyed the flavor as well as the uniqueness of the raised double heart sheet cake with beautiful white pearls and beautiful white roses. I couldn’t agree more with the previous reviews! Darlene is a true blessing with wonderful talent. I come from a family of bakers, so I have high expectations and surpassed them! From the moment I first talked to her on the phone I knew she was the one I wanted to give my business to. He attitude is great, she very patient, has great ideas. Since I live in Indiana there was no cake testing, I just knew she was the one for us! She asked for me to send her picture of my wedding dress and flowers so she could get a better understanding of who I was. She wanted to make sure she made the cake to my taste, not hers. We were having trouble with the vendor we picked out to have dinner after the ceremony and I emailed her and simply asked if she had any suggestions of places to eat since we weren’t from the area. She went as far as calling Trevi talking to manager, getting us a semi-private room and got them to waive the cake cutting fee! She went above and beyond and made our day even more special. Did I forget to mention how amazing her cake was??? We ordered a French vanilla cake with Raspberry moose, can we say OUTSTANDING! I (we) highly recommend Cakes on the Move!! If I could figure out a way to order our 1 year anniversary cake from her and get it to Indiana safe and sound, I would. That’s how great her cakes are!

After talking to Darlene by phone, we were very comfortable leaving the cake design and centerpieces in her hands. Both were beautiful!!

I was really afraid not to find a cake to my wedding. I had just a few days before the wedding and I needed to find a gluten free cake that also be delicious and beautiful. when I talked to Darline, the owner of "Cakes On The Move", I knew that I found the perfect place for me. She was really nice and very understanding with a lot of patience and together we created my dream cake!!! The cake was delicious and absolutely stunning! beyond of all my expectations. I really recommends on "Cakes On The Move", for the best service and the best quality!!!

Darlene is awesome! This was by far the easiest vendor I've ever worked with. She was upbeat, enthusiastic and worked within my budget which was much appreciated. We threw a 50th wedding anniversary party for my parents and needed a cake to feed 45 people. Without missing a beat, Darlene came up with a beautiful, elegant and classy design for the cake. I left it in her hands and it exceeded my expectations. Did I mention the cake was delicious as well. The icing on the cake (no pun intended) was when Darlene gave my mom a corsage for her special event which I thought was so touching and went far beyond what was expected of her. Thank you Darlene for everything and making my parents celebration so special. You rock!

Darlene was fabulous to work with. I had to do everything by phone since we were coming from Arizona to marry in Las Vegas. Our restaurant suggested her as one of the cake vendors and after speaking with her, just had to have Darlene make our wedding cake! Her enthusiasm is contagious!!! Highly recommended as the cake was lovely and delicious.

Darlene created the perfect decor for our wedding day! Our cake was fantastic, beautiful and DELICIOUS! I couldn't have asked for more! She also put together our center pieces and boquets! They were exactly what we ordered! My boquet was breath taking and will be forever remembered in all of our wedding photos! Prices were good and we didn't have to lift a finger which is a huge plus on the actual day! I cannot thank Cakes on the move enough for making my wedding so beautiful!!!

Darlene was able to create a beautiful and delicious cake for us even though we were only able to discuss details over the phone. We were very pleased with the way it turned out. She did a fantastic job!

We had a small destination wedding in Las Vegas and coming from Maryland. Darlene was recommended by the venue over other more well known cake makers and it was GREAT! We had a lovely cake, actually more beautiful than expected and so personal. It actually tasted good and many guests who had to take it home, said it was delicious even the next day. I don't think the pictures will do it justice how pretty it was too. Darlene was extremely responsive during the whole planning process, was very creative to suggest putting pictures of our four dogs on the cake (which my guests loved) and it was delicious. Plus it showed up at the restaurant seemlessly! Highhly recommended
