The Wedding Chapel at MGM Grand

I never thought I would get married in Vegas, but my husband really wanted too. I wanted a simple, but elegant venue. After doing some research, I was torn between the Mandalay Bay and the MGM chapels. Both chapels are beautiful. However, we wanted a religious ceremony and the MGM chapel has more of a “church” feeling. My wedding planner was easy to work with and very prompt. This was important to me since I don’t live in Nevada. The ceremony was short, but wonderful. Minister Linderman did a great job and my family was pleased. We also decided to follow the ceremony with an in-suite reception. It was a bit pricey, but the food and service was excellent. I’m very happy with the way my wedding turned out and would recommend the MGM Forever Grand Chapel.

After reading the reviews and doing my homework, I had high expectations for this chapel. As a compromise with family, we wanted a simple semi-traditional ceremony. That you can have. However, be warned, you will not be able to customize it beyond the limited options they provide you and you will feel rushed. They say you can bring/provide outside music, which is not an option in reality. You are limited to their options unless you are willing to sign over your first born along with a hefty penalty fee. And the photography is terrible. You are not able to bring in outside photographers. The quality of the photographer provided was comparable to that of K-Mart and Sears. She took only 30 pictures and those were terrible. I’m very disappointed that I only have 30 pictures from the ceremony and not one of them is of me looking at my groom. The real kicker is their attempt to up sell you following the ceremony. Be ready for the hard sale.If you decide to go with the MGM Grand Chapel, you will need to be patient and have no problems with basically pestering your coordinator. It took on average of a week to have my questions answered. And more often than not, it required a follow-up email or phone call. Similar to others, my experience left a lot to be desired.

The MGM Forever Grand Chapel was great! We got married there with 70+ guests. The staff was always flexible and attentive from my first day of planning. Someone was always available to answer my many questions and assist the day of. The staff runs the chapel in a timely and orderly manner (which I appreciated)! Though there were 11 weddings that occured on that day, the entire staff and Pastor Linderman made us feel just like we were the only couple in the entire hotel. First class chapel operation!

MGM is the best hotel at vegas and it was the best place for a wedding! it was just a great place if you are getting married in vegas check mgm out!

we had our wedding here and have stayed at mgm for every time we come to vegas and they always do a great job! and they did on out wedding too, we had catering too because it seemed easier to have them do our food also!

The wedding was great here and i loved the view the place had! it was a great price!

The wedding was just perfect we had catering too and it was really good, little $$$ but its vegas so yeah. other then that it was great!

We are working with their on-site coordinator Laura, she is great! Their website has every answer a bride could look for...at least for now, and if I have a question, its answered with out hesitation, send her an email and she response as soon as she gets it! update (6/15/09): everything is still going as planned. They are however very stern when it comes to bringing anything from the outside. IE I wanted to make origami flowers, and they said NO! –only in Vegas I guess. (We ended up getting roses from a local store. The boys keep theirs on during the ceremony and no one mentioned it or told them to take them off!)DAY BEFORE wedding: I planed on meeting Laura at her office to drop off my wedding license, the sand vases and programs. When I arrived she was not there, and the office was locked. I called no one answered, finally I was able to get a hold of her at that point I was just frustrated and all I wanted to was get to my rehearsal dinner. I never ended up meeting her that dayDAY OF/AFTER Wedding: After the “miscommunication” the day before I wasn’t counting on a lot from the wedding coordinators at MGM, however things went very smoothly and the ceremony went off without a hitch.We were honored to have Reverend Peaks perform our ceremony. He is such a wonderful man. He truly made our ceremony memorable and unique for us.

We got married on the Terraza in Feb 2010. Overall, we had a wonderful wedding, however, our wedding planner started tacking on cost 2 weeks before our wedding. It took my father in law going to the director to immediately stop this since she had known all the details for weeks leading up to the wedding. The location was beautiful and the staff did a could job with alternate plans in case of weather. The pastor they hired introduced us and pronouced our last name wrong and the spelled my maiden name wrong on the signs...

after searching around and found MGM and we saw the pictures it was so beautiful so we decided to see if our date was available and it was and we decided to check it and it it was amazing and the staff was supper nice! come the big day it was great!

I was married at the MGM Grand Wedding Chapels in November 2009. It was fantastic! They handled everything. Everyone that worked there was very friendly. We could not have asked for a better wedding.

It was a wonderful ceremony. Everyone was extremely professional and organized, and everything came out perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding, it was just what I wanted!

The staff were very thorough and attentive. they always responded promptly the same day to all questions via e-mail or telephone. They did everything that they promised they would. We got everything that we expected and top notch customer service!

If you are looking for a fun a nice chapel and friendly service this is a good choice. The planning was very easy and done over the phone because we do not live in Vegas. The chapel was pretty we had about 65 guest and they were all able to fit but it was a little tight. The officiant was very nice and kept ten feeing light but the ceremony its self was very quick no more than 10 or 15 min. the cons are that i was never met my wedding planner and was not even contacted by her once i got to the hotel. The flower were not what i expected but it worked out okay. Also she lead me to believe that there would be someone playing the music but it was just a tape recording! Over all we enjoyed it and the ease of getting all the flowers, photos, video, ceremony, hair and makeup for one package was very nice and easy.

The wedding was just perfect. We were able to talk to anyone at any time and they were very helpful. I had lots of questions and concerns, but they helped me put everything into place. It is a very basic chapel, but it is far from "flashy" Vegas. I really didn't want to have a conveyor belt experience or a drive through, and I felt that the Forever Grand Wedding Chapel was just great. You can request that the officiant be non-religious or it can be religious. It is very flexible - you can add just about anything to your package and they will help you pick and choose what's right for you.Included is flowers, officient, photography (limited # of pictures, you can buy more later), videography (free dvd included), and other ammenities you can pick and choose from. Very reasonably priced considering that you are basically paying for your entire wedding in one package.We had a reception in our hotel suite at the Signature at the MGM, and you can see my review about that as well!I recommend this wedding for anyone who is slightly traditional, but looking for the chance to have a wedding that is out of the ordinary. The MGM Grand is fun and just traditional enough that you feel like you aren't even on the strip.

Given the amount that we paid for the services of this chapel, I was disappointed. They rush you at every moment, their photographer, although friendly, was not very good at taking flattering, let alone good pictures. (we often had parts cut off by the edge of the frame) The music selections were quite small, and when we suggested bringing our own music, it was basically laughed at.I understand that we made the decision to marry in Vegas, but the chapel had recieved such high reviews, and the people I had talked to on the phone were wonderful, but the experience when I arrived left much to be desired

I was very lucky, my wedding planner was one of my best friends, and she helped in so many ways. However, had she not been a friend, I know that she still would have given me the best help possible.

It was very easy to set up my wedding. We contacted the MGM at the end of January, and the ceremony was on March 3rd. My calls were always returned efficiantly, and all questions answered. I would deffinately recomend a ceremony at this venue. There are so many options whithin the property for receptions and ceremonies.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas was absolutely wonderful. They were attentive and extraordinary planners and the result was a lovely, well put together ceremony. A day I will never forget.

We had an awesome time. Approximately 35 guests total. We had the weddin gin the MGM Chapel and then had everyone escorted to a penthouse suite for a reception with GREAT food, alcohol, and white chocolate covered cake. By 9pm everyone was invited to go do gambling or free entry to the Club 54. Me and HUbby took over the penthouse which was amazing.
